The Protea Nest’s series theme is inspired from South African Weavers nest builders and the combinations of the indigenous South African King protea flower. The combination is surreal and not just a pretty piece of artwork, but something you would want to have a discussion about. The Detail of the weaver’s nest are displayed with handmade rope that symbolizes the nests of the birds, where the King protea are trapped or saved. This being the discussion of belonging. This Series was not created as theme for our worldwide epidemic 2020, but merely a coincidence. A beautiful wall focus point for any interior space. The Artworks are replicas of original Artworks printed digital onto canvas. Smaller canvas sizes don’t need to be mounted on the walls, as the width of the frame is ideal to stand free on its own.
